Vintage Handcrafted Oak Pedestal Game Table with Inlaid Chessboard

This vintage oak game table features a handcrafted parquetry inlaid chessboard set into a square top, supported by a sculptural turned pedestal base. Made from solid oak, the table has a warm, honeyed tone and a grounded presence that feels welcoming and familiar.
The chessboard is composed of alternating wood tones laid in clean, precise squares, framed by a wide beveled surround that highlights the natural grain and adds quiet structure to the top. The pedestal base is thoughtfully proportioned, with curved feet that give the table stability and an easy, balanced look.
Well scaled and versatile, the table works comfortably as a dedicated game table between two chairs, a small dining spot in a breakfast nook, or an accent table in a cozy corner. Its size and form allow it to settle naturally into a space.
This is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted table. Some areas of inlay show signs of age. Structurally sound. Overall, in great vintage condition—built to hold games, conversation, and time.
Circa 1970s–1980s.

Ships via White Glove Delivery
Willies Vintage partners with trusted third-party delivery providers to facilitate White Glove Delivery services within the contiguous 48 states. All shipments are handled independently by third-party providers.
The White Glove Delivery Service includes careful transport and in-home placement of furniture. The delivery team will bring the item into the preferred room, unpack it, place it as directed, and remove all packaging materials.
Orders typically ship within 2-4 weeks, though in rare cases, it may take up to 8 weeks to coordinate delivery. A notification will be sent once the item has shipped. This shipping process is designed to accommodate the specialized handling required for vintage and specialty pieces, which is why third-party furniture shippers are used instead of standard carriers like UPS, USPS, or FedEx.
Once the shipper is ready to schedule delivery, they will contact the recipient directly to arrange a date and time frame. Rural deliveries may require additional scheduling time due to limited routes. To prepare for delivery, a clear path should be ensured to the designated room, as the delivery team cannot move or rearrange existing furniture. A signature will be required upon receipt. If the delivery location presents any challenges—such as tight stairways, narrow hallways, or additional obstacles—there may be additional fees.
For details on delivery timelines, potential additional fees, and how to prepare for delivery, please refer to the Shipping Policy or contact support with any questions.
